Scout & Runner · Telecom test platform

What does a Scout do?

Research international voice routes using a dedicated prepaid SIM or eSIM and report the real call outcomes. Scout & Runner is a telecom test platform. It involves real calls and accurate outcomes, not passive participation.

Task eligibility and rewards vary. Review the applicable terms before activation.

Before you join Scout & Runner

Check your access, verification and costs before spending. Rules checked 11 September 2026; live availability may change.

Access is checked first

The relaunch was phased, starting with +1 countries. It set a limit of 30 Scout places per country, with allocation prioritising active Alpha and Beta Scouts. This is not a count of places available now. Check current access before buying a SIM.

Identity and terms

KYC is required for both Scout and Runner. Follow the official platform verification flow and accept the updated Terms & Conditions. Existing completed verification can be recognised by Unetwork.

SIM refunds

The relaunch limits Scout refunds to one SIM per carrier per month. Additional SIMs do not qualify for refunds. An eligible purchase still needs the required evidence and approval; registration alone does not approve reimbursement.

Rewards are conditional

Additional reports associated with extra SIMs do not earn UP under the relaunch rules. The announcement retains 5 UP for discovering new access and 4% of Runner call revenue generated from that access. Platform validation and the applicable task terms determine eligibility; these are not guaranteed earnings or the regular 55/45 license split.

Demonstrations explain the steps. Example balances and reward calculations are not a current task offer.

Check the place, SIM and plan first

Confirm that Scout participation is available to you before buying a dedicated prepaid SIM or eSIM. Use an approved call plan, register the SIM and follow the current verification and task instructions.

Make the call. Report what happened.

Use available task numbers for live route validation, record actual outcomes and report SIM balance as instructed. Validation follows finite cycles; routes that meet the platform’s criteria may be promoted for repeated verification.

Reimbursement is conditional

A SIM purchase does not automatically qualify for reimbursement. Eligibility, evidence and approval apply. Check the current rules before spending and do not assume every report produces a reward.

Questions before you start

Can I count on a fixed income?

No fixed income is promised. 1 UP = US$1 (USD). What varies is the number of UP earned, not this dollar value. Task availability, eligibility and validated activity affect rewards. Regular leases and Scout & Runner have separate applicable terms. Withdrawal eligibility, processing and any fees are separate. A payout in euros depends on the USD/EUR exchange rate.
